Description

Creamy feta cheese marinated in rich olive oil with fresh herbs, chilli, garlic, and lemon zest. A simple yet flavorful appetizer perfect for sharing, snacking, or elevating everyday dishes.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz (250 g) feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley and thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon rind, finely grated
  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Cut the feta cheese into large, neat blocks.
  2. Place the feta into a clean jar or shallow bowl.
  3. Scatter the garlic cloves, chopped herbs, chopped chilli, lemon rind, and black pepper evenly over the feta.
  4. Pour the olive oil over the feta until fully submerged.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to develop.
  6. Remove from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  7. Spoon feta with some of the infused oil onto a serving dish and enjoy.
