Description

  • 6 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and chopped dark chocolate until the dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly crisp but the centers are still soft.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately sprinkle them with more chopped hazelnuts while they’re still warm. Let them cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
