Description
Elote Dogs are a fusion of classic hot dogs and Mexican street corn (elote), topped with a creamy, tangy, and cheesy corn mixture that delivers bold flavor in every bite.

- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 beef or chicken hot dogs
- 1 cup corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup crumbled cotija cheese (or feta)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Grill or pan-fry the hot dogs until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the corn kernels and sauté for 5–7 minutes until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, chili powder, and smoked paprika.
- Add the cooked corn and half of the cotija cheese to the mixture. Stir to combine.
- Toast the hot dog buns if desired.
- Place hot dogs in the buns, then top generously with the elote mixture.
- Sprinkle with remaining cotija cheese and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use frozen corn, but make sure to thaw and dry it first for better caramelization.
- Try adding jalapeño slices for an extra kick.
- Use plant-based hot dogs and dairy-free alternatives for a vegan version.
