- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup Coca Cola
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour your baking pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, combine eggs, Coca Cola, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cake cool for 10 minutes, then frost with chocolate frosting.
- Slice and serve as desired.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep it soft and tender.
- Frost while slightly warm for gooey deliciousness.
