Description

A savory and tangy cheese ball packed with dill pickles and cream cheese, perfect for serving as a party appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional, for rolling)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for rolling)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, chopped fresh dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the cream cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a ball shape using your hands or a spatula.
  4. If desired, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans and parsley to coat it evenly.
  5. Cover the cheese ball with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to firm up.
  6. Serve with crackers, sliced vegetables, or pretzels.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of pickle juice depending on how tangy you want the cheese ball.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute the cheddar cheese with a blend of other cheeses like Monterey Jack or cream cheese for a milder flavor.
  • This cheese ball can be made a day ahead of time for convenience, and it stores well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
