Description

Tender shell pasta smothered in a creamy, cheesy ranch sauce with hearty ground beef, all slow-cooked to perfection in the crockpot. A family-friendly comfort food favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 12 oz (340g) shell pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 packet (1 oz/28g) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 4 oz (113g) cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Turn crockpot on high to preheat.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add cooked beef to crockpot with beef broth, ranch seasoning, and cream cheese. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.
  5. 30 minutes before serving, stir in uncooked pasta shells. Cook until pasta is tender.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella. Cover for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add pasta later in cooking to avoid mushiness.
  • Use freshly grated cheese for best melt and flavor.
  • Stir halfway through if you’re home for even texture.
  • Add a splash of broth before serving if too thick.
