Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 8 oz angel hair pasta, cooked and drained
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread a layer of cooked angel hair pasta in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Top with the cream cheese mixture, spreading evenly over the pasta.
- Pour the beef and marinara mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Use ricotta instead of cream cheese for a more traditional Italian flavor.
- Pre-cook the pasta slightly under al dente to avoid mushiness.
- This dish freezes well—just cool completely and store in freezer-safe containers.
