Description

Tender steak pieces cooked in a creamy paprika sauce, served over tender pasta shells for a comforting and flavorful one-skillet meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta shells
  • 1 lb steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Season steak strips with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  4. Add steak to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  6. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream; bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  9. Add cooked pasta shells to the skillet; mix gently to combine and heat through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta as needed.
  • Reserve some pasta water to loosen the sauce if it gets too thick.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute steak with mushrooms or tofu.
