Description

This Creamy Italian-Style Baked Spaghetti is the ultimate comfort food, featuring tender spaghetti coated in a rich tomato cream sauce, layered with fluffy ricotta, gooey mozzarella, and a golden baked finish.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic with chili
  • 2 jars marinara sauce (32 oz total)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 10 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, cubed
  • 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Boil spaghetti until al dente, then drain and toss with the creamy sauce.
  5. Layer half the pasta into the baking dish. Add half the ricotta, mozzarella, and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
