Description

The Copycat Sweetgreen Hot Honey Chicken Plate is a deliciously balanced meal featuring spicy, tangy chicken served over a bed of fresh greens, with a drizzle of hot honey sauce to add a sweet and spicy kick.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to your heat preference)
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup avocado, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  4. While the chicken is baking, mix honey and hot sauce in a small bowl. Adjust the heat by adding more hot sauce if desired.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  6. In a large bowl, toss the salad greens with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and feta cheese.
  7. To assemble the plate, place the salad on a serving plate, top with sliced chicken, drizzle the hot honey sauce over the chicken, and garnish with avocado and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar (optional).
