Description

This Clam Pizza is a coastal-inspired twist on classic pizza, loaded with briny chopped clams, melted mozzarella, garlic oil, and herbs atop a golden, chewy crust. Bold, savory, and surprisingly simple.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 can (6.5 ounces) chopped clams, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or sheet pan inside to heat.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until golden, then set aside.
  3. Roll dough into a 12-inch circle and place on parchment paper.
  4. Brush garlic oil over the dough, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Scatter chopped clams, Parmesan, oregano, and red pepper flakes on top.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Drain clams well to avoid a soggy crust.
  • Pre-bake thicker dough for 3–5 minutes if needed.
  • Finish with lemon juice or chili oil for a flavor boost.
