Description

These Chocolate Maple Bars are the perfect blend of rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and gooey marshmallows layered on a soft yellow cake base. A dreamy dessert that’s quick to make and impossible to resist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix cake mix, eggs, and melted butter until crumbly. Press into pan.
  3. Bake for 15–18 minutes, then remove and sprinkle marshmallows on top.
  4. Return to oven for 2–3 minutes until marshmallows puff. Let cool completely.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  6. Remove from heat, mix in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
  7. Spread frosting evenly over cooled bars and let set for 30 minutes.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Line the pan with parchment for easy removal.
  • Use a hot knife for cleaner cuts.
  • Add chopped nuts for texture if desired.
  • Let bars cool fully before frosting to avoid melting.
