Description

Chili Crisp Shrimp is a spicy and savory dish featuring shrimp cooked in a flavorful chili crisp sauce. The combination of heat, garlic, and a slight sweetness makes it a perfect appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons chili crisp sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the chili crisp sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  3. Pour the chili crisp sauce mixture over the shrimp and toss to coat. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  5. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • If you prefer a milder dish, reduce the amount of chili crisp sauce or use a mild version.
  • For extra crunch, you can add some toasted peanuts or cashews as a garnish.
  • This dish can be served with steamed rice, quinoa, or even on top of a salad for a low-carb option.
