Description
Chili Crisp Shrimp is a spicy and savory dish featuring shrimp cooked in a flavorful chili crisp sauce. The combination of heat, garlic, and a slight sweetness makes it a perfect appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons chili crisp sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the chili crisp sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Pour the chili crisp sauce mixture over the shrimp and toss to coat. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve hot with rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.
Notes
- If you prefer a milder dish, reduce the amount of chili crisp sauce or use a mild version.
- For extra crunch, you can add some toasted peanuts or cashews as a garnish.
- This dish can be served with steamed rice, quinoa, or even on top of a salad for a low-carb option.
