Description

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • 46 pita breads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (optional)
  • 1 tomato, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  4. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  5. To prepare the yogurt sauce, mix 1 cup plain yogurt with 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 clove minced garlic, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  6. Warm the pita breads and fill each with sliced chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a generous drizzle of yogurt sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
