Instructions

- Transfer the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single tight layer over the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Broil for 2 to 3 minutes for extra crispiness if desired, watching carefully.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
