Description

This Cheeseburger Flatbread combines the best parts of a classic cheeseburger and a homemade flatbread. With soft, golden flatbread topped with savory veggie mince, gooey mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and tangy pickles, it’s a fun, melty, and easy comfort food fusion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 160g self-raising flour
  • 100g milk
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 250g veggie mince meat
  • 200g tomato sauce
  • 50g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 50g cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Optional: 1 tbsp chopped pickles
  • Optional: 2 tsp mustard
  • Optional: 2 tbsp caramelised onion

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, milk, and salt to form a soft dough. Knead lightly and divide into small balls.
  2. Roll each dough ball into a thin circle.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
  4. In another pan, heat olive oil and cook veggie mince for 5 minutes.
  5. Add tomato sauce, mustard, and caramelised onion (if using). Stir and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Spoon the mince mixture over each warm flatbread.
  7. Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then add pickles if desired.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy, savory flatbreads.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the flatbread dough to keep it soft and tender.
  • Cook flatbreads on medium heat for perfect browning.
  • Use both mozzarella and cheddar for the ideal cheesy balance.
  • Try adding a drizzle of mustard or BBQ sauce before serving for extra flavor.
