Description

Everything you love about a cheeseburger, wrapped in a crispy, golden egg roll. These cheesy, savory bites are the perfect party appetizer or game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 17 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped pickles
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in mustard, ketchup, pickles, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in shredded cheese.
  4. Lay out egg roll wrappers and place 2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner. Fold sides in, roll tightly, and seal edges with water.
  5. Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels or a wire rack. Let cool slightly before serving.
  7. Serve hot with dipping sauces of your choice.

Notes

  • Let filling cool before rolling to avoid tearing wrappers.
  • Use a thermometer to keep oil at the right temperature for even cooking.
  • Freeze uncooked egg rolls for later and fry straight from frozen.
  • Serve with burger sauce, ranch, or spicy ketchup for dipping.
