Description
Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet features tender white fish fillets pan-seared to perfection and topped with a rich, tangy lemon butter sauce infused with garlic and fresh parsley.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fillets of white fish (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for sauce)
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste (for sauce)
Instructions
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and brush both sides with olive oil. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and flaky. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and olive oil. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and parsley. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Place fish fillets on a platter, spoon lemon butter sauce over them, garnish with parsley and lemon slices, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh fish fillets rather than frozen.
- Do not overcook the fish to keep it moist and tender.
- You can substitute parsley with dill for a different flavor profile.
- The lemon butter sauce can also be used as a dip for vegetables or bread.
