- 1 loaf of bread dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeños, seeds removed and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or a similar round baking dish.
- Roll out the bread dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into small squares (about 1-inch in size).
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped jalapeños. Stuff each square of dough with a small amount of the cheese and jalapeño mixture, folding it over to seal it.
- Arrange the stuffed dough squares in the prepared pan, layering them until the pan is filled.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the bread dough in the pan.
- Cover the pan with a clean towel and let the dough rise for 20-30 minutes until it has puffed up.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. The cheese should be melted and bubbly.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For an extra kick, leave some of the jalapeño seeds in the filling.
- If you prefer a milder version, reduce the number of jalapeños or omit them entirely.
- This bread is best served warm, straight from the oven.
