Description
This blueberry latte recipe blends rich espresso with sweet blueberry compote and creamy milk for a deliciously fruity twist on a classic coffee drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 2–3 tbsp brown sugar or sweetener of choice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 6 oz milk of choice
- 2 oz espresso
- 1 cup ice (for iced latte)
- Optional: whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
- Over medium-high heat, combine blueberries, brown sugar, and vanilla in a small pot. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the berries break down and the liquid is smooth.
- Set aside to cool slightly, then transfer to a blender and pulse until smooth to create the blueberry compote.
- Brew the espresso and prepare your serving cup with 1–2 tablespoons of the blueberry compote.
- If making iced, fill the cup with ice. Pour in milk of choice, then add the espresso.
- Stir gently to combine and top with whipped cream if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Use wild blueberries for a more intense flavor.
- Add lavender to the compote for a floral touch.
- For a vegan option, use plant-based milk and skip whipped cream.
