- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda

- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 large eggs
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan thoroughly.
- Simmer apple cider in a saucepan until reduced to ½ cup. Let cool.
- In one bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, combine reduced cider, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and eggs until smooth.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
- Transfer batter to a piping bag and fill donut pan wells about ⅔ full.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until lightly golden and springy.
- Cool for 5 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack.
- Coat warm donuts in cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve.
