- 250 grams plain sweet biscuits, crushed finely
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 125 grams unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 200 grams dark chocolate, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed biscuits, cocoa powder, and desiccated coconut. Stir well.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter gently. Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the lined baking pan.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the base to firm up.
- Melt the dark chocolate gently and stir in the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the chilled base.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until fully set.
- Lift from the pan and slice into 16 squares before serving.
Notes
- Press the base firmly into the pan to prevent crumbling.
- Allow the slice to chill completely before cutting for clean edges.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- You can freeze the slice for up to 2 months and thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
