- 12 ounces egg noodles
- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and chopped
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Boil egg noodles just until al dente. In the last 2 minutes, add chopped asparagus. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in tuna, noodles, asparagus, and 3/4 cup cheddar cheese.
- Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese. Combine breadcrumbs with olive oil or butter and sprinkle on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

- Blanch asparagus briefly to keep it tender-crisp and bright green.
- Seasoned breadcrumbs add extra flavor to the topping.
- Add a dash of lemon juice before baking for extra brightness.
