Crispy on the outside and tender inside, these air fryer mushrooms parmesan are tossed with garlic, olive oil, and finished with melted parmesan and fresh parsley. A quick and savory side dish packed with bold umami flavor.

- 450 grams whole button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 190 degrees Celsius for 3 to 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the cleaned mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket if needed.
- Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through, until tender and lightly browned.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan over the hot mushrooms and return to the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts slightly.
- Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately while warm and slightly crisp.
Notes
- Pat mushrooms dry before seasoning to prevent steaming.
- Do not overcrowd the basket to ensure proper browning.
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispness.
- Freezing is not recommended as mushrooms release excess moisture.
